Not sure what to do on your first date? Need some new ideas for your already thriving relationship? Sometimes it's the simple things that mean the most. You can have a good time without breaking the bank or going overboard. Here's a few simple dates that will make everybody happy!
Bowling. Bowling is not only fun, it's inexpensive and great exercise. Lucky Strikes at the Staples Center in Downtown L.A. has a great bowling alley, complete with a full bar and dinner menu. Games average around $6.95 a piece; entrees are around 8.95.
The Movies. Who can't enjoy a good flick? The movies is not only fun, it's relaxing. You can kick back, enjoy some hot buttered popcorn with a Coke and Rasinets with your date and laugh, cry, or scream to your hearts content.
Pool. So you're a lousy pool player, join the club. Pool is fun once you get the hang of it, and asking a guy to help you learn will make him feel all cool and macho. If you're a skilled player, it can be a lot of fun. Whatever the case, it's better in twos.
A Concert. Concerts can be exciting because the music will move you and bring ambiance. Music moves the soul and depending on the type of music it is, it just may bring you closer to your date. If it's a first date, go for something upbeat, that way you won't feel awkward when all the lovers in the house or swooning all over each other.
An outdoor fair or market. Visit different vendors, shop for brunch or just enjoy the day. Farmer's markets are a popular fete in California and they provide great opportunities to try new foods, sample products, or simply have a great conversation.
Game night at a friends. Join another couple and pull out the Monopoly, Scrabble, or Taboo games. Game night is a simple, inexpensive opportunity to get to know someone better. If you don't like board games, try cards or dominoes. Just make sure you have the snacks and something to drink!
First dates should be fun and simple. The goal is to get to know that person better or simply just enjoy each others company. Whatever date you choose, just makes sure you go at it with an open mind and an open heart. You never know what might happen!
